SiteScape Workflow is a powerful, yet easy-to-use add-on workflow component that is completely integrated with and complements SiteScape's award winning web-based collaboration software and services. SiteScape workflow enables teams to collaborate faster, easier, and more efficiently, by structuring who must do the work, by structuring how the work must be done, and by clearly marking the current "state" of the work. Auser can define workflow processes using menus and user-friendly HTML forms; there is no need for additional programming!

The following are a few examples of the types of tasks that can be streamlined using SiteScape Workflow:
  • Ultimately approving a document taht must go through several review and revision cycles before prublication.
  • Fulfilling a request that has been place with Help Desk. the request must be assigned to a customer service representative, a soltuion must be found, and the person requiring help must receive notice of completion of service.
  • Completing an approval cycle, such as for purchasing office items. A request is made, a supervisor approves or rejects the request, and a representative from the purchasing department either places the order or rejects the request.
  • A supervisor could create an action Item workflow that contains an assignee field and due date. The workflow would automatically mail a notification to the assignee informing her of the task and due date. if proper access controls were set, only the assignee and supervisor can see, modify, or change the workflow state. In addition, the assignee could soft or filter her assignments by due date and the supervisor could sort or filter her team's assignments by either the assignee or due date.
